This project is a result of the Seminar “Interface Design Basics” in which students were asked to design an ebook as an exercise for bringing the paper format into the digital screen. The cultural, functional and aesthetical traditions of editorial design had to be married elegantly with the digital attributes and cababilities of a touch screen.
Bettina bummelt is a german book for children written by Elisabeth Shaw. It was selected for the exercise partly because of its simplicity but also for its very young public, which constituted an appealing design challenge.
